Our Mission
Ruritan is a national organization dedicated to improving communities and building a
better America through Fellowship, Goodwill and Community Service.
The Lothian Ruritans were founded in 1952. Since that time members of our organization have raisedfunds through cookouts, bake sales and fruit sales. The proceeds are disbursed throughoutworthy charity organizations and given as scholarships to students. The organization also servesto better the community in which it abides by sponsoring litter pickups and provided smallstuffed "Rudy-bears"to the local Firehouse to be given to children being transported by ambulances from accident sites.
